Consider this your call to arms metal fans, SEGRESSION are back, in their most powerfully brutal form yet. Their new album, independent release "Painted In Blood" is dropping in September and it promises to throw you back into your chair and blow any expectations you might have had well and truly out of the equation.
The release follows up the iTunes Metal Chart No 1. "Never Dead" which opened the eyes of fans and critics alike, however, “Painted In Blood” truly sees Segression’s sound evolve to a whole new level of impressively tight, bone crushing riffs and hooks, set to eclipse anything that they have produced in the past. In addition to the already solid line up of axe men Michael Katselos, Sven Sellin and enigmatic front man Chris Rand, Segression now welcome another member to the family, their new drummer Adam Bunnell.
With their well received and critically acclaimed releases; L.I.A (1996), 5th of the 5th (1997), Smile (2000), Segression (2002) and Never Dead (2011), the band has garnered the attention of labels (Road Runner, Murder Machine Records, Riot/Warner), promoters and bands from all over, touring nationally and abroad with acts such as...Ozzy Osbourne, Slipknot, Pantera, Machine Head, Soulfly, Cradle of Filth, Fozzy, Strapping Young Lad and Fear Factory.
Their new live show is undeniably going to produce their strongest and most powerful performances to date. The dynamic sound, energy and enthusiasm within the current line up works, and works very well. Segression has always put their all into the live experience and this is no exception, this is simply another level.
When a band has had the opportunity to accomplish so many milestones backed by the loyal support of their fans, “career defining” is a big call to make, but “Painted In Blood” is that heavy, brutal call.
Segregated Aggressive Army, both new and old, answer the call, Come Together, Come in Pain!!!
