Deadspace is the air we breathe, the bark of a tree, the ripple in the waves, the power of freedom, the love of life, the fear of failing, the wrath of fire, the winter snow, the falling rain, the blistering sun.

Originally conceived in 2014 as by Chris Gebauer (Earth Rot/Sensory Amusia) as an outlet for his continuous feelings of depression, Perth, Western Australia’s Deadspace has now morphed into a tight unit of musicians from Perth’s underground metal scene.

With the line-up now completed by Drew James Griffiths (Ur Draugr, Watercolour Ghosts) on guitars/backing vocals, Nish Raghavan (Xenobiotic) and Alex Borserini (Sensory Amusia, I Am Eternal) on guitars and Ben Stanley (Sanzu, Malignant Monster) on live drums, Deadspace created a genuinely depressive and gloomy sound, characterised in equal parts by elements of black metal, death rock, goth and ambient music.
