Ebonillumini are a band of musical travelling nomads who embark upon geographical journeys of discovery. Their mission is to illuminate all things hidden within the ebon shadows of earth, space and time.
Musically the band can be described as Avant-Garde Black Metal with underlying tones of Jazz, Classical, and Acoustic dark Ambient.
The cultural musical influences also arise from the lands in which they find themselves.
Originally formed in London 2008 by J.D. Tait (The Meads of Asphodel/The Higher Craft)& Christina Poupoutsi (The Higher Craft).
The duo released the 4 track demo ‘The Ebon Channel’.
In 2012 with the recruitment of Andre Thung (The Meads of Asphodel/The Higher Craft) the band released a 4 track ep (split with Worms of Sabnock) titled ‘Estuarine’, from which a promo video was filmed for the track ‘Danger’.
The debut album ‘Pacificum’, released in 2013, is a geographical journey across the Pacific Ocean.
The second album, titled "Arktos", was released in 2015.
