SPOILSHROUD is a "Technical Blackened Death Metal" band from Catania, Italy.

The band formed in November 2001 under the name PULVERIZED after the split of HUMANITY ECLIPSE by Giuseppe Virgillito (Vocals & Guitars), Riccardo Squillaci (Vocals & Bass) and Salvatore M. Testa (drums) with the addition of Fabio Monaco (Guitars).
In June 2002 Pulverized recorded their first work Apotheosis of the Next Configuration, produced by Luigi Scuderi at Tower Hill Studio.

After a series of line up changes with Giuseppe as only original member remain, in September 03 the band monicker was changed to SPOILSHROUD, a new name for better describe the sick and apocalyptical concept at the base of their new music and lyrical course.

During 2004 Spoilshroud support band like Enthroned, Dark Funeral, Defleshed and plays several gigs as headliner or special guest/supporting act.

In May 2005 Apotheosis of the Next Configuration come officially released like self-production and an years later the band support Norwegian black metal cvlt Mayhem.


A NEW BEGINNING

From 2007 to 2008 Spoilshroud continue their live activities but at the beginning of 2009 the band remains a duo with the only Giuseppe and the drummer Patrizio D'Arrigo.
It's time for a totally revolution inside Spoilshroud's sound.
For many months the two musicians working to transform all the old songs from "simple" death/black to a technical and brutal extreme metal...
A very impressive mix of furious and faster death/black metal with the intence elegance of progressive rock and jazz/fusion.

2010
Oliver Parisi from Devouring Sorrow become the new bassist.

July 2011
Gerassimos "Lord Agheros" Evangelou join the band as new member.

A.D. 2012
Graziano Ruggieri from Forsaken Angel became the new guitarist.
SPOILSHROUD recording new album A Portal to Cosmic Decay.

November 2012
Oliver Parisi left Spoilshroud.

January 2013
Gianluca "Vægg Helvête" Cardillo (Cromìa Oscura, ex The Ancient War) join the band as new bass player.
