Harppia is the first brazilain band that recorded an Heavy Metal EP, "A Ferro e Fogo". It was released in 1985.

The twinguitar work is the trademark of Harppia´s music. Heavy yet melodious riffs and licks.

Early 80´s was a time that Brazil was discouvering the heavy metal power. Just at these times, Harppia´s has landmarked the metal scene with a new songwriting approuch.

In 2008, Harppia made their own history, performing for an audience with more than 50.000 people at VIRADA CULTURAL. The highest point of show was that former musicians of the band had been invited to perform together with the new line up musicians.
