2003 Ajana was founded as a solo project by Luise Markert alias Ajana who is responsible for songwriting, lyrics, vocals and other instruments. While recording the EP „Ruins“ (2010) and the debut album „Home In Decay“ (2012) she collaborated with guest musicians. „Home In Decay“ was recorded, mixed and mastered at Iguana Studios near Freiburg/Germany by Christoph Brandes.

The second album "Dualismus?" was recorded 2015. As with ist predecessor it was produced at Iguana Studios. Cornelius Heck (drums/bass) and Simon Schillinger (guitars) acted as guest musicians.

Ajana´s music could be rather described as doomy Metal with various influences beyond that genre and characteristic vocals.
