THORNBRIDGE is founded by Mo & Pat in 2008. Both musicians already know each other from previous projects. Singer and guitarist Mo invents the name of a band whose music and theme quite could appeal to pen & paper freaks. The first own songs are created, the first little gigs are played. After various line up changes, Burghi and Lucky bump into the band. This moment can be described as the actual birth of THORNBRIDGE.
The first album “What Will Prevail” was recorded in 2014 and 2015, produced by Sebastian “Seeb” Levermann in the Greenman-Studios and refined by some guest vocals of Phillip Schunke (VAN CANTO).
THORNBRIDGE immediately got a record deal with Massacre Records, the album will be released on February 19, 2016. Concerts are increasingly being played, including with SALTATIO MORTIS, SINBREED, ORDEN OGAN and MOB RULES.
In 2018 the second album “Theatrical Masterpiece” was recorded, again by Seeb Levermann. ​ This time Andy B. Franck (vocals, BRAINSTORM) and Roberto de Micheli (guitar, RHAPSODY OF FIRE) were won as guest musicians. The album was released on February 9, 2019 via Massacre Records and was successfully promoted during a tour with RHAPSODY OF FIRE through Europe.
The third album “Daydream Illusion” was produced in 2022/23 and released on March 22, 2024. Drums on this album were recorded by Nils Kreul because Lucky, and later Burghi, left the band for personal reasons.
Since August 2023, Tomi Göttlich (Rebellion, ex-Grave Digger) has taken over the bass and Vincent Bechthold (ex-Darkest Horizon) the drums.
