Formed in Northern California in 2012, by Robert Morey of Fallujah and Antonio Palermo, the group self-released one EP titled “Breathe Deeply” in 2013 and a full-length album “Bloodworship” in 2015 to widespread critical acclaim. Heavy Blog Is Heavy called them “a powerful creative force that can go anywhere from here,” while Metal Sucks praised “Bloodworship more than lived up to expectations based on their cast of characters. Best of all, Underling sound remarkably little like any of the members’ other bands; they are entirely their own beast, a lumbering mammoth-like mix of death metal, black metal, post-hardcore and post-everything.”
