I Valgrind nascono nel 1993 dalle ceneri dei Necrospell e si dedicano da subito a un death metal fortemente ispirato alla scena floridiana. La band si scioglie nel 2003 per poi tornare in attività nel 2008 per volontà dei fondatori Massimiliano Elia e Daniele Lupidi, mentre è del 2012 l'esordio discografico con l'album "Morning Will Come No More", a cui segue nel 2013 "Speech Of The Flame", le cui liriche iniziano a diventare più personali e inerenti ai lati più oscuri e meno noti delle antiche civiltà mediterranee.
Nel 2017 la band fa uscire l'EP "Seal Of Phobos" che fa da apripista per il nuovo album "Blackest Horizon".
