Media Octava is a progressive rock band, fusion.
Media Octava born in mid-2011 in the porteño congress district, with the meeting between Joe Ablop and Milton Zini, who played alongside friends as a hobby. A few months later they decided to open up to form a serious project, in which to bring the own compositions. For about a year and a half they began to experiment, fuse ideas, compose and record until they found a personal style related to progressive rock, without neglecting a wide range of influences such as jazz, funk, folk and national rock. From the beginning the idea was to point to a sound that departs from the clichés of contemporary bands but avoiding, however, a naive hermetism.
