Badge was formed in 1980 when vocalist Graham Waudby got together with Tony Dixon (guitar and riff maker) and started writing Badge songs in Bridlington, East Yorkshire. Dixon brought in good friends Mike Cooper on bass and Stuart Mclean on rhythm guitar. Steve Elliot on drums had his roll taken over by long term drummer Rob "zippy" Zipfel.

After the 7" single was released in 1981 we reinforced our live activities. And next came offers of some tour support slots with Judas Priest and Budgie. Due to fallouts within the band and the bass player Mike Cooper leaving the doors were closed for the support dates.

Badge never really split up for good, we just fizzled out a bit with lots of talk of reforming over the years.

A chance to release an album was taken and a good friend of the band Pat Mount remastered and re-recorded old demo tracks at his home studio and even created the music for the new track "Natalya From The Volga". After original member Graham Waudby released the album "Stormrider" through High Roller records in 2012 .

With a new line up of Graham Waudby (original vocalist)- Florin Huluba (lead guitar) Baz Gregory (Bass) - and Ian"Twig" Johnson (drums) we are looking forward to the future with a new album in the making for 2018-2020
