AqvileA is a passionate and ambitious international musical project based on the creative and compositional work of Pier Lando Baldinelli and produced by the The name recalls the ancient Roman city of Aquileia, founded in 181 BC as a military colony, and later became a prominent city of the Empire. The whole project is dedicated not only to the origins of the city but more generally to the rediscovery of the lost beauty of culture and mythology.

The debut album, Beyond the Elysian Fields, will be released on November, 20 2020 for the label Saturnia Records. The concept winds along the two centuries from the foundation of Aquileia to the statesmanship of Gaius Mario. The 14 tracks thus follow the pages of history, from the Alps to the Sea, from Alexandria to Mediolanum, to Aquae Sextiae... Each track is an adventurous journey that traces the life and emotions of men who lived 2000 years ago, to discover that those emotions are not different from those that everyone is facing today.

Melodious and solemn, the sound of AqvileA goes back to the classics of Symphonic Metal, however forcefully imposing itself in its modern cinematic imprint: a tribute to the soundtracks of the great masterpieces of cinema, from Sergio Leone to Hans Zimmer, from James Horner to Two Steps from Hell.
