Absolon is an exciting, dynamic and engaging heavy metal band founded by singer/songwriter Ken Pike. Absolon combines traditional metal, European flavored metal and symphonic power metal to create a sound all their own, something new yet familiar. Having been heralded as one of the vanguards of the New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal (NWTHM), Absolon has taken the metal world by storm since the release of their epic concept album Darkness Rising: The Tale of Derek Blackheart. On October 30, 2022, they continued their legacy with the release of their long awaited follow up album 'A Portrait of Madness'. Even while trying to create something new and fresh, Absolon does not hide their love for old school metal and it shows in their music.
