I Freakshow nascono per iniziativa di Ronnie Borchert (Miss Crazy, Amsterdam, Trixie), che coinvolge Jeff LaBar (Cinderella), Frankie Banali (Quiet Riot) e Tony Franklin (The Firm, Blue Murder, Whitesnake, ...) per la costituzione di un "supergruppo" d'estrazione hard n' heavy ottantiano.
L'ultima incarnazione della all-star band prevede, oltre a Borchert (aka Markus Allen Christopher), Carlos Cavazo (Quiet Riot, Ratt), Greg Chaisson (Badlands, Atomic Kings, Sircle of Silence) e Stet Howland (W.A.S.P., Metal Church, …) e con tale formazione nel 2023 viene dato alle stampe "So Shall It Be" per Eonian Records,
