In 2019, Florian ZEPF created the project THE PROGRESSIVE SOULS COLLECTIVE (TPSC) as a vehicle to allow his ideas and compositions to come to life. His idea was to create not a band in the traditional sense, but to bring together a collective of professional musicians that cared about progressive metal and music.

ZEPF was able to recruit a who's-who of progressive rock artists to bring his dream to reality and the result was the debut album Sonic Birth released in September of 2020. He recruited vocalist Vladimir LALIC after watching him sing on social media because of his operatic-style singing style. He also was able to bring in Aquiles PRIESTER (ANGRA, W.A.S.P.) on drums, Derek SHERINIAN (DREAM THEATER, PLANET X) on keyboards, Luis CONTE (Phil COLLINS, Eric CLAPTON) for percussion, Connor GREEN (HAKEN, SHATTERED FORTRESS) on bass and Kevin MOORE (DREAM THEATER, O.S.I., CHROMA KEY) to take care of special effects, samples and loops. Many other musicans also support on various other instruments.

The music is an imaginative progressive metal that fans of ARYEON, PYRAMID THEOREM, TELERGY, THE TANGENT, DREAM THEATER, O.S.I., HAKEN and ANGRA should also enjoy.
