Diespnea was formed in 2014 as the solo project of Wolke. In 2019, it evolved into a studio collaboration with Anxitudo, a partnership born from a shared devotion to black metal and a desire to craft something deeply personal. Their vision was to build upon solid black metal roots while expanding toward avant-garde and experimental territories, continuously pushing beyond established musical boundaries.
In 2020, Diespnea released their debut full-length "Pneuma" through Naturmacht Productions, an album steeped in the tradition of atmospheric black metal. With "Radici" (2026), the duo transcends any rigid stylistic definitions, fully embracing an avant-garde approach influenced by pioneering acts such as Dødheimsgard and Manes.
