Formed in 1985 by Josh Christian and Lee Ervin under the name Tokyo.
The original line-up included Josh Christian on guitars, Lee Ervin on bass, Sal Dadabo on drums and Mike Sanders on vocals.
The band later had to change the name to Toxik due to legal threats by another band with the same name.
The four piece release the debut album "World Circus" with Roadrunner Records.
One of the original members, Lee Ervin, decided to leave the band due to personal reasons and was replaced by Brian Bonini.
Tad Leger was a last minute replacement for Sal Dadabo, who was later offered a touring deal with Twisted Sister, which never came to fruition, the new line-up recorded the second album "Think This".
Toxik decided to quit in 1992, but have reformed twice since.
A documentary was planned entitled "This is Toxik" around 2008-09 and a trailer was released on YouTube, but so far it hasn't been made avaialble.
In the year 2020 is came out the third album "Kinetik Closure", with a new line up and a deal with Massacre Records they release the new album "Dis Morta".
