CIVILIZATION ONE was formed in 2006 by the exceptional singer Chitral "Chity" Somapala, together with ex-HEAVENLY bass player Emmanuel Pelisson.
SECRET SPHERE guitarist Aldo Lonobile, a veteran of the Italian metal scene, soon joined the two founding members of CIVILIZATION ONE. Aldo's former band mate Luca Cartasegna took over the position of drummer, and keyboarder Jesper Stotz, originally from Brazil and having moved to Europe only a short time previously, completed the first potential line-up.
In a short time they had written quality material and recorded it in Germany, France and Italy in 2007. Metal Heaven released the debut entitled 'Revolution Rising' in Europe, whilst Spiritual Beast took care of the release in Japan.
The international press received this superb album with its mixture of Prog and Power Metal with positive reviews. As a result the band were invited to open the Prog Power UK 2007 festival in Cheltenham, England, where the lads left such a tremendous impression that they were soon booked for a number of European festivals in 2008.
But problems were beginning to show. The huge distances involved between the domiciles of the individual band members made it extremely difficult for them to get together to practise before shows. The result was that the line-up had to change. RED CIRCUIT drummer Michael Stein as well as the two guitarists, Nicklaus Bergen and Oliver Marmann joined the two founder members Somapala and Pelisson. Strengthened by the new blood, the combo immediately set about the songwriting for the second album, entitled Calling The Gods, for a new label, Limb Music.
