The project “Nightbreeder” was born in the summer 2000 when I began writing my first novel.
I had already been a pianist and a student of classical music for four years: my first orchestral compositions were all inspired by what I wrote. The Queen have always been my favorite group.
I have always been fascinated by heavy metal in all its forms, classical music and soundtracks, specially by what is hidden in their creative philosophy.
Describing images, people and situations of a film or a book only through music is something I have always found very stimulating. Entering the nature of a story, catching its essence and trying to describe it in all its forms, handing down feelings and moods only through musical instruments without any words have always fascinated me a lot.
Over the years, I go on writing more and more seriously and “The Mysteries of Antarktica” become a series of novels; then, after ten years’ study of the piano and principles of orchestration, the idea of making a symphonic Concept takes shape: it would become the soundtrack of the novel.
“Nightbreeder” was born officially in 2006. After a sample that year, I spend two years working on my project and I make my first official cd: “The Dawn of The Dark Age” that is inspired by the first novel of the series “The Mysteries of Antarktica” which has the same title.
As in every soundtrack, the repetitions of some tunes in several songs is not accidental but it is the result of a precise pondered decision to remind characters or important situations: I think it is important to bring them out because they are the strong points of the story.
