Sisthema was born in Ravenna (Italy) in 1994.
The story of the band goes through two albums for two different Record Companies: “Bioelectric Violent Sisthem” (1998) for Dawn Of Sadness and the Cyber Metal milestone “The Fourth Discontinuity” (2001) for Noise Records/Sanctuary Records, that was nominated album of the month from the Italian Mag. Psycho!).
In the 1994 – 2002 period, the sound of the band was a mix between powerful Thrash/Nu Metal and Cyber Metal, with several influences from bands like Pantera, Machine Head, Sepultura, Fear Factory and later on Meshuggah.
During those years, the band recorded, beside the albums, two demo tapes, several songs for some compilations such as Italian Experiences Vol. II and Screams From Italy Vol. V, a video clip and had several Mags compilation appearances all over Europe and US/Canada.
But what goes around, comes around. After 2001 bad luck came and even if the band had no real split, something changed and after several line up problems, in 2004 the guys had their day finding Agnese on vocals and Malk on bass guitar.
The puzzle was completed in 2007, when Paso (one of the best Italian producers) started a collaboration with the band bringing some synth & electronic stuff.
With this line up, good feelings came back so the Italian based combo is here, once again, to break into the scene with stunning music that leads through strong and deep emotions. The fire walks, the water talks and the opposites love. It is always a matter of life and death and of love and hate, in shades of grey.… where passion rules the game.
Right now the Italian guys simply play an intense, heavy, noir, melodic and raw grey Modern Goth, really personal and fresh. The sound evolves through big hooks and driving guitars, grooving drums and pumping bass lines, with bombastic female and male vocals and stunning synth textures.
