Laying the foundation-stone in May 2008 Nik and Sauer recorded the first demo "Fuck you all" under the bandname The Core. A bassist (Cliff) and a second guitarist and shouter (Deibl) was found quickly. The search for the perfect singer was a little bit more difficult and took time until November 2008. Then Becky joined the band and the demo could be made complete. This demo rose in waves and after doing several shows in Germany the recordings for their first album took place in June/July 2009. In August the band decided to change their bandname to MY INNER BURNING.
After negotiating with different record companies the band finally signed a deal with CMM/SAOL in October, which released the self titled debut album on 13th November 2009.

Gaining more than positive feedback from the press and the fans the band got an offer for a tour through Greece which took place in February 2010 and was a major success. Several clubshows and festivals in Germany later the band wrote new material for a promo cd, which finally brought the band a record deal with Steamhammer/SPV in Summer 2010. In October/November 2010 the recordings for their second album called "Eleven scars" took place, which is released in late March 2011 all over Europe.
