With a wall of raspy down-tuned equipment, Brainoil melts intense underground live energy with a powerful, tight rhythm section creating head-throbbing southern-sludge influenced Rock and Roll. Converging the energy of various styles within the punk hardcore scene, Brainoil personnel have a history of contributions to underground music. Ira has a long past of beating the drums for bands such as Grimple, Ojo Rojo, and Gag Order and is currently playing in Watch Them Die, as well. Nate has blasted the guitar for early hardcore crust bands such as Destroy! from Minneapolis, Silenced (precursor to React) from Connecticut, and presently pulls double-duty with Nigel Pepper Cock. Greg continues pounding on the bass and screaming away with the experimental bass/drum hardcore-influenced band Lana Dagales.
