TRASOS was born in Padua (Italy) in January 2003, due to my desire to keep playing drums in a death metal band after my first project as a drummer (Delirium) prematurely fell through in November 2002. Trasos'
musical aim was to create a powerful dynamic sound, merging atmospheres and melodies. Soon, though, i realized that, in the purpose of creating an own distinctive sound, Trasos style was shifting mainly to the
powerful and melodic approach. With the main aim to extend the project to other players and achieve a stable lineup, Giulio G.(already with me in Delirium, and also in the line-up of Chronic Hate and of Proclivity Gloom) joined Trasos. Giulio was an awesome guitarist, and a very skilled composer. Thanks to helping friends, i quickly managed to contact French to play with Trasos as second guitarist, and he proved an excelle musician, too.
Later on, Alberto (a friend of French) took bass duties, and starting from the very first rehearsal he showed the band all his technique and inspiration. In order to give more thickness and atmosphere to the songs, i
was looking for a keyboard player and enrolledRaffaele (from Tanist).
The day of the first official rehearsal (March 11th 2003) the line-upwas almost complete and running, and Trasos began writing some new riffs.
Since the beginning the sound of the band shifted towards the most melodic shores of the scandinavian death metal, still never disdaining the use of pure energy and thrashing riffs. Unfortunately, before the first song was complete, Trasos lost Alberto and Raffaele, due to their personal duties. Fabio (also in Delirium with me) was the new bass player, and showed himself really fond of playing in a band such as Trasos. The
band resumed songwriting lacking keyboards and by April the first song was done, and other tracks subsequently in a more or less complete form. I was the main composer thanks to my guitar skills, which i practiced and improved thanks to my guitarwork in other bands. At the end of April, for different reasons,
Trasos lost Giulio G. Thanks to French, Federico joined the band as a lead guitarist, proving himself an excellent musician and
showing interest in playing the existing material. In June 2003 Trasos recovered Raffaele, who added keyboards to previously written songs. The band went on the refining its own material and creating new
one. In September 2003, alas, Trasos lost another member, French, who was unable to reconcile his duties with his band presence. A long period of bad mood started, in which the band crossed a struggling and fruitless search for the lacking members, beginning to lose cohesion and wasting a lot of rehearsals.
Fortunately things seemed to come to a new start as Trasos regained its magic, further gaining unity when the recording of a demo was put in the to-do list. I decided to record vocals , still wishing for a singer to join
before the upcoming live-shows. In May 2004 the band was still thinking about various solutions for the lineup but at least, after lots of
auditions, Trasos chosed Alex as second guitarist; meanwhile i persuaded Marco, ex guitarist-vocalist of Autumn Leaves, to become the front-man of Trasos and join the songwriting. Finally, on July 4th 2004, the
band was complete again but after only 5 months Marco, because of many personal problems, decided to leave the band.
I decided to propose Fabio as new frontman: he had a good screaming voice and the other guys loved it, but again Trasos experimented problems: in May 2005 we recorded the first demo FROZEN SOULS and in
August 2005 and in February 2006 Federico and Alex left due to personal problems. Nobody counted on our rebirth but still Trasos showed an exceptional force of will, and after three months of auditions two new
excellent and technical axemen were recruited, Mirko and Giulio C. For over 2 years Trasos lived a great period, playing on stage every month and in May 2008 the band started to record a new promo, but
unfortunately after four weeks it was suspended because on June 1st 2008 and on August 24th 2008 Giulio and Raffaele left Italy because of their jobs . After three months a new keyboard player joined Trasos and
with Buzz, Mirko's cousin, the band played again on stage. In October 2009 Mirko left Trasos, but the band recovered Giulio C.; Trasos spent the following months without a special target and only one live performance was done in May 2010; finally on May 1st 2011 i received the master copy of our new damned record “LIVING MY DEATH" from Simone Cerchiaro at Radice Sonora Studio where i recorded the missing guitar lines; after over six weeks I produced the new album but in July we experimented new problems because Fabio, our frontman, left the band after 8 years.
