Born in Bordeaux (France) in 1997 under the GORGASM moniker, the band recorded its debut full-length album entitled “Neurotripsicks” in 2004 . The band switched to GOROD band name and released “Leading Vision” in 2006 followed by an early first North America appearance at Maryland death fest and many other European festivals as well, building up a solid reputation. "Process of a new Decline" came out in 2009 and showed the band aiming at more identity through a more refined progressive death metal genre; displaying more dexterity , groove, speed and technical madness. Extensive European tours followed and imposed GOROD as a very convincing and versatile studio and live act.

The band pushed further boundaries recording acoustic songs of some of their classic material and a 15min progressive epic track on the self released " Transcendence" ep (2010) - Proving GOROD is a band that has always learnt to explore and master their genre to new unexpected shores.

"A Perfect Absolution" (2012) is regarded as the band's masterpiece to this day showing GOROD at the top of their game. Insane super speed guitar leaks wrap up this barbaric yet very controlled assault of technical metal mayhem. The album was voted as French band album of the year, and GOROD savagely rampaged Europe for months, headlined in North America and even had a quick trip to Indonesia to play at the famous Hammersonic festival.

They released their new 'album' A Maze of Recycled Creeds' to great anticipation and roaring critics. It's not only a continuation of what the previous album offered but a further improvement in terms of production, song writing and arrangements. Thanks to their large experience, GOROD have never sounded as strong as they do now in 2015 !
