Resonance Project was formed in late 2007 as the brain child of Graham Greene and his wife, vocalist Donna Greene to perform at a special concert held at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi, Vietnam in January 2008. The lineup of the band - Graham, Donna, second guitarist Saxon Smith, bassist Jim Awram and drummer Tommy Ions - had been together for two years as Graham's solo band Graham Greene & The Happy Sinners, playing the instrumentals and vocal tracks from his solo albums. Wanting to offer a purely vocal repertoire for the Vietnam concert, Graham and Donna decided that a band unit was more desirable than appearing under just one person’s name. They had just released Donna’s first solo CD, Resonance (Spirit Of Man), and so the band name was chosen as Resonance Project.
