De Arma is a Swedish Gothic rock band from Sweden. Initiated in 2009 by Andreas Pettersson (Guitar, Bass) the project quickly became a duo with Johan Marklund (Drums). The band debuted with the 2011 EP "Towards the Shores of the End” (Nordvis) as a split together with the UK band Fen. Later that year the band wrote the debut album "Lost, Alien & Forlorn” (Trollmusic) which was recorded in the turn of the year 2011/2012. Frank Allain, of Fen fame joined as vocalist in 2012 and the band signed a two piece album deal with the German label Trollmusic. 2013 saw the release of the bands debut album "Lost, Alien & Forlorn.” A second album was also written and composed during 2013 but various other obligations prevented its completion.
Now, in 2021, 8 years on, De Arma will finally unveil their second album "Strayed in Shadows."
De Arma's music is vibrant yet melancholic carrying musical influences from a wide spectrum, from Gothic Metal to Synthwave and further on to Pop music.
