After a year of bringing sweaty, true metal to the masses on the Wellington home front and across the country, GAYWYRE have opted for a name change. The beast that is GAYWYRE has exploded onto the scene and spread beer-fueled mayhem in the spirit of traditional heavy metal, and has plans to continue doing so. We felt that our intensifying metal onslaught deserves a name that reflects the energy, aggression and direction of the band, and have opted to re title ourselves RAZORWYRE. The new title, a joint decision from all GAYWYRE personnel marks a strong connection to our early history, and is a reference to a song lyric in the 'Coming Out' EP track 'Suspiria'.
