Swedish deat hmetal act Beyond Mortality was originally formed way back in 1999 by Anton Wallette, Tobias Karlsson and Tony Pettersson. Together they strived to improve the death metal scene in the world.
In 2001 they released their first demo called The final chapter of life, a dark tale about the art of dying. The band made a couple of gigs and established themselves in the local underground scene and in 2002 their second demo was released, consisting of eight tracks. It was named Dear Boss, and was influenced by the serial killer Jack the Ripper.

In 2004 they joined forces with David Göransson (Mark Black) and recorded their third demo, called Not Meant to Last. This demo was more thrash influensed and had softer lyrics. David made a couple of gigs together with the band before he decided to leave. This was the start of Beyond Mortality of today.

Tobias, Anton and Tony more or less stopped playing for a couple of years and instead they experimented a lot with music and wrote a different sounding demo for 2008 called Turn Blind. Even if they had been away a while from the underground scene people still wanted to see them live so they made a couple of gigs as a trio. Feeling that it didn't quite hit the spot they decided to search for new members to fill out the wall of sound that is Beyond Mortality.

In 2009 Johan Kaiser (ex Mindcollapse) joined in on vocals and magic happened. When Gustav Sundin joined on bassguitar late 2009 the band was complete. Angrier, faster and with no concern for their own mental health they released the demo Infected Life in 2010. Beyond Mortality continue to strive for faster riffs, angrier and more deadly lyrics delivered with a punch that you can feel everywhere. After doing a couple of gigs in 2010 they started to work on their next release. Faster riffs, harder beatings on the drums and angrier demons sprung out of the cold, dark and damp basement they call home. In the spring of 2011 the new demo Suffocation by Fear reached the masses. From the first note struck until the last, Suffocation by Fear will eat you up from the inside with it's fleshripping riffs.

In 2012 the band's first full length album, titled Infected Life, will be released on Grom Records. A very strong extreme metal album that will blow your mind. Influenced by old school death and thrash metal it's a modern sounding fleshripping, blood drenched CD that is a must have for every fan of extreme metal!
