The new studio album „In Brennenden Himmeln“ leads SCHWARZER ENGEL to a heavier musical direction than ever. Stunning, bombastic and melodic dark metal songs with walls of guitars and dominating double bass drums dominate this new output.
Mighty angel wings roar through the skies, the armies of the „Lord of the crows“ close their lines for battle. As merciless angels of revenge, SCHWARZER ENGEL enter the musical war again. With statements like the epic „Hymne Für Den Tod“, the blood-soaking „Psycho-Path“, the darkly hymn „Schwarze Sonne“, or the metal storm „Krähenzeit“, SCHWARZER ENGEL show themselves in a different light.
„In Brennenden Himmeln“ connects lyrics in the vein of RAMMSTEIN, melody lines like IN FLAMES’, crushing AMON AMARTH riffing and the epic orchestral sound of DIMMU BORGIR.
SCHWARZER ENGEL are one of the few German-speaking bands that can compete with international bands just with their musical quality and variety.
The guest musicians on the album also prove the uniqueness of this project: Johanna von Orleans, opera singer of E NOMINE, drummer Stefan Dittrich (ex-MYSTIC PROPHECY, ILLUMINATE) and El Friede, keyboarder of OOMPH!, are - amongst others - featured in the album.
For the mighty production Dave Jason once more worked with Munich’s Dreamsound Studio producer Jan Vacik (GRAVEWORM, SERENITY).
