Drottnar was established during the 90's in the undergrounds of the emerging Norwegian extreme metal scene. After releasing a few demos and an EP Drottnar presented their debut full-length album «Welterwerk» in 2006. The album was highly acclaimed and gained wide attention for its technical and intricate structure and idiosyncratic style.
After touring Europe and the US the following years, Drottnar released their second album [B «Stratum»[/B] which was a refinement of the extraordinary industrial and technical achievement Drottnar had then become synonymous with.
The last year Drottnar has been in the process of releasing their concept album "Monolith" in several installments, culminating in late 2018 with the fulfillment of their darkest and most excruciating album to date.
