Formed in 2011 in Turin, Italy, Be The Wolf had one goal: to write and play rock music, plain and simple, with no masterplans and with no need to conform to any genre, definition or label. Since then they released a bunch of singles, videos and an ep that were very well received worldwide, and played countless shows in their home country and beyond. Scarlet Records saw their enormous potential and signed them in June 2015. Their debut album "Imago" was released shortly after, to critical acclaim and commercial success. The band was received tremendous support by the most important music media outlets, including MTV, Virgin Radio and Rolling Stone, and were invited to perform in Japan, where they received the prestigious “brightest Hope Award” by influential music magazine Burrn!.
"Rouge", the band’s new album, was recorded, mixed and mastered by Andrea Fusini (Upon This Dawning, MSWhite, Ready,Set,Fall!) and sets new standards for the band: longer than the debut yet straight to the point, the record is a concept about blood, fire and faith, a raw analysis of modern society, with its French title to be seen as an homage to the Bataclan victims.
"Empress" is the band’s 3rd album, infused with strong Heavy Metal vibes from the 80’s and some AOR influences, drawing inspiration by classic bands like Scorpions, Judas Priest, Skid Row and WASP and Kiss. The band’s formula includes high speed tracks, with heavy and melodic riffing and tasteful guitar solos, with some occasional power ballads (though constantly keeping a considerably fast pace for the whole duration of the album). The band keeps its trademark songwriting style by featuring some strong and catchy choruses, as well as memorable and straightforward lyrics.
"Torino" released 15 January 2021 via Scarlet Records is the 4th Be the Wolf album.
Be The Wolf’s singer, guitarist and songwriter Federico Mondelli, the band’s sole composer (also responsible for the whole graphic work) is also the mastermind of the Power Metal band Frozen Crown. The lineup is completed by Marco Verdone (bass) and Paul Canetti (drums).
