Dead End was a death/doom metal band from The Netherlands formed in 1988.

Dead End were amongst the first death metal bands to rise from The Netherlands. Alongside contemporaries like The Gathering, Gorefest, Asphyx, Pentacle, Acrostichon, Celestial Season & others they contributed in their own way to the flourishing death metal scene of the late eighties / early nineties.

Although the band started out as a real death metal outfit, their style switched gradually to death/doom and even gothic metal (the old style, not what people call gothic these days). This resulted in the addition of the 6th and final member Paul, who played the violin and piano on the 'Wartime in Eden' EP.

Dead End has been reformed in 2015.
