The Scars in Pneuma was initially born as a solo project of mastermind Lorenzo Marchello (vocals / guitars) in the sorrowful month of December 2016, and it turned to a band when trusted musicians Francesco Lupi (guitars) and Daniele Valseriati (drums) joined the ranks during the year 2017.
Musically, The Scars in Pneuma provides it's own particular extreme metal style, which can be defined as a mix of black metal, melodic riffing and epic passages, with a touch of doom. Some bands that can be cited as inspiration are Dissection, Mgła, Be'lakor, Rotting Christ, Forgotten Tomb.
Lyrically, The Scars in Pneuma is all about themes such as living with your own demons, the regrets we have in life, the time passing by, the beloved people we have lost.
Promethean Fire / Kolony Records will release their debut album "The Path Of Seven Sorrows" on February 8th 2019.
