Formed in 1991 as a hard rock cover band, by 1997 they started writing their own music.
Gian Rui quit the band in 2001. Two unnamed bass players were also hired and let go again in this period. Pietro Corona left in 2002 and sadly died of heart attack shortly afterwards at the age of 26 - Alex and Andrea were his cousins.
Andrea Corona left in April 2006. Revoltons originally planned not replace him until their next album was written. Gabriele Pala filled in on keyboard and second guitar but lived too far away from the band to join full time. Alex Coronoa's brother Matt then joined as second guitarist. Both Coronoa brothers will now also perform guitar synth. Allesandro Carli left around this time. In 2007 the band released their second full lenght "Lost Remembrance", then Revoltons signed with (My Graveyard Productions and released in 2009 "Underwater Bells", and in 2012 "386 High Street North Come Back to Eternity".
In 2020 Revoltons released "Underwater Bells Pt.2: October 9th 1963-Act I", a concept album based on Vajont tragedy, with a completely new line-up which changed once again in 2023 with the new album titled "Celestial Violence"
