COEVO is an Italian Progressive Metal band with Hardcore and Metalcore influences, born from the meeting of four musicians, each with their own musical background.
The Band is presently made up of four components: the frontman Aurelio Cosenza, the guitarist Alessio Gasparin, the drummer Marco Sacchetto (also playing drums for Temperance) and Luca Negro, bass player at Temperance, EvenFlow and Revenience, etc.
The project was born in 2019 from the strong drive to experiment, defining its own sound since. The voice provides clean, layered vocals, composing recognisable harmonies, all wrapped in a distinctive voice timbre, while the guitars set the mood with their special eye on the rhythm, the bass and drums blend together to sustain, empower and enrich the overall tracks with sleek structured rhythms and catchy lines.
"End of Troubled Days", the band's first EP released during 2019, is brought together by a "fil rouge" that runs through the lyrics, binding them into one to tell an overarching story with an aggressive, narrating, soothing and sometimes violent sound, developing the concept of "End", being it physical or spiritual.
"Badtime Stories", released early 2024, is Inspired by fairytales, the tracks explore Mental health topics such as D.I.D., depression and other subjects, which are depicted from unusual points of view, giving the lyrics an unique narrative style, underlined by gritty instrumentals and open, catchy voice lines, in the style of COEVO.
COEVO has been active on the live scene, with local and international gigs. They are actually promoting the new release touring around Europe and UK.
