Skeletonwitch was one of four opening acts for the 2008 Blackest of the Black Tour, (created by Danzig founder and former Misfits member, Glenn Danzig).
Skeletonwitch released their third studio album by the name of Breathing The Fire on October 13, 2009.

Skeletonwitch was featured on an Adult Swim video for their song "Bringers of Death" in 2010. "Bringers of Death" also appears on the Adult Swim heavy metal compilation titled Metal Swim.[1]
According to a statement made by guitarist Scott Hedrick on the official Prosthetic Records website, they are currently writing a new album in addition to touring.[2]
Skeletonwitch have parted ways with drummer Derrick "Mullet Chad" Nau and have temporarily replaced him with Tony Laureano.[3]
A fourth studio album by Skeletonwitch is being readied for a fall 2011 release. The confirmed title is Forever Abomination.[4] It will be the first album recorded without Derrick Nau behind the drums. Dustin Boltjes is the final replacement and featured on the new album Forever Abomination.
