The road to rock ‘n’ roll glory is littered with the smouldering remnants of bands that blazed brightly for a few brief moments and then fizzled out in a cloud of thwarted ambitions. But every now and then a band emerges that walk, talk and rock like true saviours of our beloved music’s spirit and soul. Founded in Northern Ireland in 2000, The Answer have spent the last decade proving their rock ‘n’ roll credentials and making the kind of life-affirming, eardrum-threatening music that separates the truly great from the merely adequate. After a few self-financed, low-key releases, the band emerged into the mainstream spotlight in 2005 when their debut single Keep Believin’ became the subject of great critical acclaim and led The Answer to the ‘Best New Band’ award at that year’s Classic Rock Awards. The following year, this young band consolidated that early promise with "Rise", a debut album that received universally great reviews and backed up their burgeoning reputation with fistfuls of gloriously anthemic songs like Under The Sky, Into The Gutter and Come Follow Me that delighted everyone from cantankerous classic rock fans to bright-eyed teenagers with a penchant for balls-out rock ‘n’ roll. Rise went on to sell over 125,000 copies worldwide, a startling achievement that ensured that when the band released their second album, the mighty "Everyday Demons", three years later, the world was more than ready to embrace The Answer on an even greater scale. The end result of their fearsome reputation, both as an astonishing live band and as rock’s brightest hopes, was a two-year stint as chief support to AC/DC, which took them around the world and into some of the biggest venues on the planet.

The band completed work on their third album, "Revival", which was recorded with producer Chris ‘Frenchie’ Smith in both El Paso and Austin, Texas. A thrillingly energised and powerful rock ‘n’ roll album that incorporates the best elements of The Answer’s artistic story so far combined with a gleaming armoury of new ideas and fresh adventures in sound, it sounds very much like the album that could take the band back to those arenas and stadiums, but this time as headliners in their own right.

"New Horizon" will explode onto the world of rock ‘n’ roll in September 2013, replete with artwork created by much-missed album art legend Storm Thorgerson (Pink Floyd/Led Zeppelin/Muse), and The Answer will immediately hit the road to take their infectious gospel of good rockin’ times and super-amplified soul back to their global army of devoted fans. With grand plans to continue their passionate pursuit of world domination over the next 18 months, New Horizon is the album that The Answer have always threatened to make and their future looks brighter, louder and more unstoppably triumphant than ever.

Signed by Napalm Records in 2012 the band have just re-signed with the label and are releasing their new album entitled "Raise a Little Hell" on March 6th 2015 (GSA/Benelux), March 9th (UK and Europe) and March 10th in North America.

Ten years, five albums and thousands of shows later, The Answer returned home from the last date of their 2015 US Raise A Little Hell tour, to a scene of utter emotional chaos. Staring into a financial and creative abyss, matters escalated further when main lyricist and lead singer Cormac Neeson disclosed that he wondered if he could bring himself to ever create anything again let alone pen a new record.
Neeson’s newly born son, Dabhog, had just arrived into the world three months premature and weighing a mere 1lb, 12 oz. He would spend the next four months in hospital fighting for his life. Born with multiple health issues and with the spectre of an open-heart operation on the horizon, Neeson and his wife were thrown into a nightmarish world of ventilators, blood transfusions and an enveloping fear of the unknown that lay ahead.
Emotional refuge in creativity has driven some of the greatest muses since time immortal. Little wonder then that a new The Answer record arrived unexpectedly, borne from those moments of solitude, darkness and desperation. "Solas", released through Napalm Records on October 2016, was in no small part inspired by Neeson's journey from the edge of the abyss to a place where thankfully things no longer seem dark. A testament to personal resolve and dogged determination, he and his fellow band members who are also lifelong friends, strove to make good from bad; Solas from darkness. Their new voice needed a new sound and for this they turned inwards, to their homeland and Irish culture.

After a seven year absence, in 2023 The Answer return with their seventh full studio album, "Sundowners". Produced by British rock producer Dan Weller (Enter Shikari/Bury Tomorrow), the new album is issued via Golden Robot Records.
