Neonfly were formed in 2008 by guitarist/composer Frederick Thunder. The aim? A machine-tooled metal collective fashioned to bring an awesome array of tunes and stunning live performances to audiences everywhere. When you experience a Neonfly gig or hear a Neonfly song nothing else should exist. Stadium metal to the masses and beyond! That’s their credo.

The band’s first EP “Clever Disguise” was released in 2008 and graced by a guest vocal spot from Tony Mills (Ex-Shy/TNT.) The E.P. was well received by the underground metal community and landed the band prestigious support slots in the UK with Power Quest, Adagio and To-Mera amongst others; a slew of European festival dates and headline shows followed in 2009/10.

With this new line-up and a pack of new songs under their sleeves, the band decided it was time to finally record their debut full-length album. In February 2011 Neonfly set off to Remaster Studios in Italy to record with producer Nick Savio (Power Quest, Arthemis, Raintime). The result of this collaboration is an outstanding stadium metal album with 11 epic tracks entitled ‘Outshine The Sun.’

Dynamic UK record label Rising Records were quick to spot the bands potential offering them a record deal this spring. ‘Outshine the Sun’ was released on 29th August 2011.

Neonfly’s second album, "Strangers in Paradise"? Chock full of metal with balls, epic grandeur, lyrics that grab the head and music that grabs the heart drops big in 2014. It’s been a helluva ride so far and this offbeat crew of metallic misfits continues to leave the doubters in the dust.
