Marco Massari was born in 1978, on February 27th. He began playing the guitar at the age of 9, and soon became keen about heavy metal music, being inspired by the Ozzy Osbourne records and the great guitar playing of Randy Rhoads. At the age of 13 he founded his first band called “Reverse”, as song writer and guitar player, recording two demo tapes. After Reverse, he played the guitar for many bands, until he joined the Streamers in 1995. With the newcomer Massari, the Streamers changed their name in “S.W.O.C.” (Shamanic Way of Consciousness) and recorded two demo tapes. In these years, Massari's musical interests began to broaden, embracing rock, hard rock, gothic rock, dark, punk, as well as grunge and pop music. The S.W.O.C. line up began to change and, after the leaving of the original singer, Massari decided to start singing himself. After Stefano Donati, a new drummer, had been involved into the project, the band realized to be "a different band" and changed its name in “Goldah”. Goldah began playing live and writing new songs, as a power trio (Massari guitars and vocals, Lorenzo Salietti bass and vocals, Stefano Donati drums). In 2004 they started recording their self produced debut album “Waiting for something to happen”, which was released in may 2005 receiving many positive reviews. In 2007 Goldah split up, but Massari went on writing songs and in 2008 he recorded by himself four of them (“Don’t call me happy”, “Slave of your love tonight”, “Memories”, “Bleeding young angel”) in a demo tape conceived as a solo project, choosing the name “Holygold”. These tracks had a good feedback, being played by many web radios and taking a good placement in the international contest “Song Of The Year”. In 2011 Massari was contacted by the producer Raffaele Montanari, and in June of the same year the recording sessions of the debut album “Wounded Memories” officially started. The record was released by PMS STUDIO Label on February 27th 2012. "Wounded Memories" has twelve tracks. Among some brand new ones it includes the four songs originally in the “Holygold” demo, with new arrangements and recordings, and three tracks originally part of the album “Waiting for something to happen” (“Scars”, “Hearts of Gold”, “Handful of Tears”). Lorenzo Salietti, who was the Goldah bass player, is still playing with Holygold and recorded all the bass parts and the backing vocals of “Wounded Memories”.
In May 2012 the single "Find Again The Light" is released.
In the same year the writing process of a brand new album is started. The first rehearsals take place in December 2012 and in February 2013 the recording process begins. In 2014 the album, called "The Great Divide",was released.
The new album, called "The Color White", was released in 2015
