Metal, death metal, thrash metal, prog and hardcore – all those musical styles meet in the music of Farewell To Arms from Landsberg in a perfect mannner and give the band a very interesting musical attitude. The quintet focuses on melodic and technical aspects, but fun and expermentation are also part of their sound. The band was founded back in 2007 and following an immense number of live shows the first demo was recorded and in 2011 the debut EP „Exhalation“ was released, which was procuded by Corni Bartels (Hackneyed, End Of Green etc.). The EP got exellent press – many positive reviews and stories were the reward for the band’s hard work who already shared stages with great bands like HEAVEN SHALL BURN, THE SORROW, DEAD BY APRIL, WE BUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTER, WAR OF AGES, NARZISS a.o. in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Farewell To Arms were the winners of the online voting for „new blood“ beating 2500 other bands and won a showase on the Summer Breeze Festival 2011 amongst bands like ARCH ENEMY, AS I LAY DYING, CALIBAN, EMIL BULLS, THE HAUNTED and many other grat bands on that billing. At the end of the same year the band finally signed their first record deal with MASSACRE RECORDS and recorded their debut album again with Corni Bartels producing . „Perceptions“ , which includes singer Mathias „Mätze“ Schlegel from THE SORROW with guest vocals impressingly proves the musical progression the band went through and the album can compete with other albums of other well-known artist. To promote „Perceptions“ the band will support the MISERY ESCAPE TOUR 2012 of THE SORROW in Germany and Switzerland – in 2013 the band will tour extensively in clubs and on festival stages.
