Dark Awake was formed in 2001 by Shelmerdine. In 2005 the self-released demo CD was released entitled "Bleeding Silence" (currently unavailable) with Elina P. on ethereal vocals.
Dark Awake participated in postwave.gr's CD compilation "Audiobook 1" (released in 2006) with a cover on the Celtic lulaby "All The Pretty Little Horses" which demonstrated ethereal vocals and a mystical background.

Debut CD entitled "Meseonas" is a mystical avant-garde art with majestic/pompous feeling explores the macabre fantasies from the nocturnal macrocosm of imagination.

The line-up is completed by Sekte (female vocals).
Their music is inspired by occult subjects and has a strong philosophical and alchemist context.
Dark Awake stands opposed to the cold sterility of today's modern world and promotes the ancient mysteries and heathen-spirit, aiming to rekindle those ancient values.
